The above link goes to the USSVI (United States Submarine Veterans, Inc.) Facebook page where their members who have gone on “Eternal Patrol” are noted.

I’ll keep my work here going, trying to get others who were not USSVI members. You’re encouraged to look there as well as here! Obviously, there’ll be some I miss and some I duplicate.

FIELD .. .. .. Tony Field, 60, died peacefully at sunset in Portland, Maine, on Oct. 12, 2024, born Jan. 1, 1964, surrounded by the love of his sister, Karen, and nieces, Jessica and Michelle.
Tony was a 1982 graduate of White Oak High School in Jacksonville, N.C. After graduation, Tony had a career working on submarines in the U.S. Navy, and in IT for various companies in Boston and Raleigh. In 2013, dealing with persistent health issues, Tony moved from Raleigh, N.C., to Bayside, Maine. Tony had many friends from his time in Jacksonville, many of whom he kept in close touch with until his passing.
In keeping with Tony’s wishes, no funeral services or viewing will be held. Tony will be buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Bangor, Maine, alongside his mother and father.
Tony’s family will hold a celebration of life in the spring of 2025 and will send notice when the celebration is scheduled. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter in Tony’s name.

WESTBERRY .. .. .. Gregg Cornelius Westberry, 56, of Kingsland, Ga., passed away Nov. 10, 2024, at UF Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla., surrounded by family and friends.
Gregg was born March 16, 1968, in Alma, Ga., to Clinton C. Westberry and Betty Jo Carter Westberry. He graduated from Appling High School in 1986 and joined the U.S. Navy in 1987. While proudly serving his country, Gregg enrolled in Valdosta State University and later graduated with a master's degree in adult education. During his 26 years serving in the U.S. Navy, he served on several different submarines out of Kings Bay, Ga., as a missile technician. When not attached to a submarine command, Gregg served at a couple different shore duty stations such as SWFLANT in different roles. Gregg retired as senior chief after 26 years of service that included 22 patrols.
He loved God and his family more than anything. Gregg was a hard worker, a giving person and loved working with his hands. Gregg was the king of telling bad "dad" jokes just to make people laugh. He also enjoyed woodworking in which he would make retirement boxes for military friends. Being able to share that skill with friends made him proud. He was a fantastic husband, father, son, brother and friend. Gregg was a fighter until the very end. He now resides in his Heavenly home but will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors are his wife of 32 years, Tina Westberry of Kingsland, Ga.; children, Jessica L. Westberry and Sydnie G. Westberry, both of Kingsland, Ga.; mother, Betty Jo Westberry of Baxley, Ga.; brother, James C. Westberry (Tammy) of Baxley, Ga.; nieces and nephew, Kyle Westberry, Kala Hodges (Garrett) and Kristen Westberry, all of Alma, Ga.; and numerous cousins.
Gregg is preceded in death by his father, Clinton C. Westberry.
Services will be noon Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at St. Marys Church with Pastor Randy Dockery officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends and family for visiting from 11 a.m.-noon.
