There now are over 117,000 submariners accounted for in USSVI/Decklog.  This is an increase of 17,000 submariners since July 2013.  The project continues as we read boat muster rolls and incorporate the data into the legacy record.  Anyone can look up their shipmates at www.decklog.com by name and by boat. Not all are entered yet, but most who served up through 1960 are there.

Update regarding the USSVI Submariner Legacy Project.

As of June 5 2016 and dating from WW-II, over 134,000 submariners are identified and attached to the boats upon which they served, This info can be reviewed by Submarine at www.ussvi.org and selecting the "FIND A BOAT" button, then following the instructions there to drill down to the boat crew.

The information is gathered from Boat Crew Associations, Microfilmed Boat personnel records, some self reporting and obituary records of SVWWII and USSVI.  It is not complete but is by far the best available information on Submariners gathered in one source and is intended to benefit submariners and their families.
134,319 submariners are verified to now be on Eternal Patrol.
