I've heard from shipmate John
Clear that NBC has asked that these tapes not be made available
through him. As most of you know, John has worked tirelessly to
locate as many of the old films as possible so that they could be
enjoyed by all of us.
SubmarineSailor.com will be making
every attempt to contact NBC to see what is necessary to make copies
of this wonderful historic series to all former and current
submariners and submarine enthusiasts and historians.
Until word is received from NBC,
further information on the availability of the films remains in
question.
Hopefully, NBC will come through
for all of us and not turn up its nose at the submarine-qualified
members of the Greatest Generation.
