The BONEFISH SS223 First War Patrol

The date
10 October 1943. It was a five ship convoy with air cover. One large
transport in center with freighter on each bow quarter.
Fired four torpedoes at transport. Torpedo number 1 and 2 hit freighter.
Photo #2 shows two ships hit. Photo #3 ships turning away. Photo 4, 5,
6, 7 show two ships settling. One aircraft and one of the freighters are
off to the left heading toward BONEFISH dropping depth charges.
